KEVIN ROGERS: Seven Hours of playing

Seven hours of work today, or rather playing. It was a good day. Rehearsal today went by fairly quickly, we got a lot of work done. For lunch today I sat with the two conductors. I think that's pretty awesome that they take time to come and eat with us, pay for food that isn't very good just so that they can have comradery with us.
After lunch I practiced. My teacher here has already given me some very helpful discipline things. I made a lot of progress today on some of my rep. After personal practice I headed over to my chamber group. Rehearsing today sounded infinitely better than the sight reading yesterday. We can definitely play the Brahms.
After rehearsal I tried to practice but my back was feeling a little tense so I decided it would be best for me to rest. Then I went to dinner and headed to sectionals. Being in sternberger rehearsal area with only the violins really exposes a lot of the problems. The thing that I was pleased with the most was how quickly we were able to fix things. I feel that the concert will awesome.
Sleeping in tomorrow will be awesome. Oh the joys of sleeping in!
